DRAWING AND SCREEN PRINT WORKSHOP TICKETS

Join us for a two-part drawing and screen printing workshop!
Day one will be held August 23rd from 12 pm to 3 pm and include bringing your favorite household object (lamp, frying pan, candle, etc.) to the lesson, and tattoo artist Sarah Savage will guide you through drawing it into a yokai (lit. supernatural being)! Sarah brings over 20 years of painting, drawing and tattooing experience to this event. After having spent years in Japan she has honed her skills in drawing yokai and will take you through the process step by step! By the end of day one you will have created a drawing that will then be printed onto either t-shirts or paper on day two.
Day two will be held on August 30th from 12 pm to 3 pm. Austin will take the drawings from Day one and burn the single-color images onto screens for you to screen print. You will learn the process of setting up your screen on-press, taping, using adhesives, working with water-based and plastisol inks, printing and curing. This is the perfect opportunity to learn the basics of screen printing without having to get your hands too dirty.
Both days will be held at Print Hole Printing and Design studio at 712 Cormorant Street.
